Michael Brisco would be a positive addition to the Chaves County Commission serving in the 1st District. Mike is ambitious and result-oriented. He has demonstrated that he has what it takes to get things done for the people of Chaves County.

I am endorsing Michael Brisco. I have known him for many years and know him to be a man of faith who has professed the death burial and resurrection of our LORD Jesus Christ.
I have also known him to live out biblical principals concerning love. John 13:35 says By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. Matthew 22:39 says And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. I have seen him demonstrate neighborly love on many occasions. Whether it was he and I pulling someone out of the mud, him leading me or someone else a helping hand, physically and financially, or him showing one of our coworkers, or inmates we were in charge of, compassion while breaking the news about a loss of a loved one.
One story that comes to mind often is a time I was conducting a funeral for a man in a family cemetery. There wasn't much money to go around so the family arranged for a friend, with a back ho to dig the grave and we were going to fill it by shovel after the service. The filling wound up be more work than we realized. The friend of theirs who dug the grave had gone above and beyond, and after about an hour of work it still looked like the grand canyon.
I knew just who to call. Within the hour Michael showed up with a tractor and filled the grave. He could have left at that point, having done more than enough, but he didn't. He loaded his tractor and spent some time visiting on loving on that man’s family. James 1:27 says Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. I saw the first part of this principal lived out that day.
As I said there are many other examples over the years that one just pops up in my mind often. I don’t live in your district but if I did I would very quickly vote for Michael Brisco.
