Michael is running for County Commissioner with a clear mission: strengthen families, support agriculture, improve public safety, and ensure government works for the people — not the other way around. Michael's plan is to sit on the following boards to ensure Distric 1 is represented fairly during board meetings
As the current Warden of the Chaves County Detention Center, Michael understands community safety from the inside out. He will support our deputies, firefighters, and detention staff with the resources and policies they need to keep Chaves County safe.
Agriculture is the backbone of Chaves County. Michael will defend water rights, property rights, and keep government overreach away from farmers and ranchers.
Fixing roads, improving drainage, and supporting business development are top priorities. Michael will push for smart investment that brings jobs and opportunity — without raising taxes.
Every taxpayer dollar must be treated with respect. Michael believes in transparent budgeting and prioritizing essential services.
Michael believes communities thrive when families thrive. As Commissioner, he will support programs that strengthen youth, expand mentorship opportunities, and promote positive community involvement.
Keeping young people on the right path means giving them good role models, real opportunities, and safe environments. Michael will push for better youth outreach, prevention programs, and partnerships with local schools.
